Tips for the Film Makers

Film is an art and while many say that it’s not everyone’s piece of cake, it surely is. All you need is a little patience, a whole lot of interest, a lot of hard work and dedication. A starter should always follow the tips mentioned below:

1.   Have complete confidence and faith in your talent and ability

2.   Have the courage and tenacity to stick it out “no matter what”.

3.   Have a relentless focus on what is possible rather than what is not possible.

4.   Never stop searching for our unique voice, style and expression

5.   Stay true to yourself and it will guide you to the right people and the right choices.

Apart from these, a film maker shall also follow the following technical tips:

1.   Study the human behavior as it will reflect in your characters.

2.   Write a classic script that contains conflicts, after all if everything goes good, then what’s the point of the film?

3.   Locations play a very important part. Choose them after proper recce, after all you wouldn't want unwanted noise in your film.

4.   Experimenting with lights allows you to make better frames and bring out the real beauty of the scenes. 

5.   Make sure editing does not have continuity errors.

6.   Finally, make your actors comfortable and let them show what they have got. After all, it’s their performance that will lift up your film.
